Christmas Memories

Do you guys realize that we are less than four months away from Christmas?  That is scary!!!  I was on my computer looking through old family pictures tonight and thought I'd share a few old pictures.  We had some fun times at Christmas.  First, lets start with Mom's side of the family...

I'm sure there was a pile of presents behind this chair too...

Yes, lots of presents everywhere!

I'm surprise there aren't Rook cards on this table...

The presents were taller than me!

Okay, now for some pictures from Dad's side of the family at Christmas.

Yes, I was spoiled.

Ben was spoiled too!  I wonder what game system that Super Mario went to?

Thought I might make someone smile with the picture of P-Pap below.

That's it for now.  No real importance to this post, just remembering good times.  Hope everyone is having a great week and has a great Labor Day!

Ila Mae

So, I'm not really sure why, but my Nanny was in my thoughts a lot today.  She was such a strong woman, did so many things with so little, and was amazing.  I strive to be like her.  She worked so hard for everything she had.  I complain about working 10 hours a day and coming home to cook/ clean, but I have a husband to help.  She did it all on her own.

The picture above is her trying on some of my "clunkers" as she would call them when I was younger.  I have always loved this picture because it showed her spunky personality.  We thought she was going to fall and break her hip.

The picture above is my mom, my aunt Carol, and Nanny.  This was taken the Christmas before she passed away.  We were playing card games and having a blast.  That was a fun Christmas.

This is the last picture for the night.  These are all of her sisters.  Nanny was the second oldest.  Including Nanny, 4 of the sisters have passed away.  Man, they were such a crew.

Anyway, sorry to bring up old memories, just wanted to say that I missed her a bunch.

Welcome

Welcome to the Fowler Farm.  I really don't know why I'm starting this other than everyone else is on the bandwagon.  So, I'm going to give it a try.  Living an hour or so away from my family is hard sometimes.  We don't get to see them as often as we would like, so this might be a way to help that.  Let me introduce you to the entire family.

Jack - the dad/ husband
Beth - the mom/ wife
Donovan - the son

Maxx - the oldest animal of the Fowler Farm
Sadie - the second oldest animal of the Fowler Farm
Love - the inside cat of the Fowler Farm
Tartu - the outside "stray" cat of the Fowler Farm

So, that is all for now.  I will post a few pictures and write more later.  Going to rest and enjoy my Saturday evening.

Much love,
The Fowler Farm
Beth
